Privacy policy

Updated 22 September 2026. SIM360 is an independent student placement-news and free-token prediction platform operated by Dhruv K Acharya.

Information we use

Google supplies your verified email and basic account identity to authenticate you. SIM360 records your permanent random username, major, minor, gender, year, division, token transactions, predictions, comments, division chat messages, roster records, division and gender verification requests, reports, disputes, and uploaded attachments. No phone number is collected.

Who can see it

Your email is visible to the administrator, not other members. Signed-in members can see your student profile, username, comments, and betting history. Your wallet ledger is private to you and the administrator. Usernames and leaderboard scores are public. News and news attachments are public; market attachments require member access.

Why we use it

Buzz stores uploaded videos, captions, likes, comments, reports, and a private link to the uploader’s account. Videos are visible to signed-in members with the uploader labelled Anonymous. Admins can identify the uploader for moderation. Comments show your existing SIM360 username, including comments you make on your own uploads. Video content and captions can still reveal your identity. Removed videos are blocked from new viewing requests; copies already loaded or saved by viewers cannot be recalled. Uploaded files may retain embedded metadata.

DivChat messages are visible to verified members of your division under your existing SIM360 username. The administrator can connect that username to your email and review reported messages. This is pseudonymous chat; your username also appears elsewhere on SIM360. Verification requests are private to you and the administrator. Once verified, your division and any recorded gender appear on your existing member profile.

We use this information to sign you in, run token accounting and predictions, display profiles and rankings, moderate content, resolve disputes, and prevent repeated welcome-token grants. Google, Supabase, and our website hosting providers process information needed to provide authentication, storage, and hosting. Providers may process data outside India.

Session storage

The website stores authentication information in your browser to keep you signed in. Infrastructure providers may use cookies and technical logs for security and service operation. Signing out ends your application session.

Corrections and deletion

Contact the administrator for profile corrections or account deletion. Deletion disables access, removes the login identity, and anonymizes the application profile. Accounting records and a hashed email marker remain to preserve pool totals and prevent repeated welcome grants. Previously posted content, attachments, and provider backups may remain; identify any content you also want reviewed for removal. Usernames cannot be changed through the website.
